The weather reminded of Christmas, but there was Easter spirit throughout Hameln nonetheless.
Children from local kindergartens and schools marched through the historic city core followed by 12 oversized Easter eggs. The beautifully painted eggs were paraded through the town. What a fun event – especially for the kids who walked proudly alongside their Easter eggs, accompanied by cheerful music. After all, it’s the city of The Pied Piper – and of course, he was at the very beginning of the vast crowd guiding the kids as well as their teachers, families, and lots of tourists down to the Stadtgalerie. The Easter eggs were parked inside of the shopping mall and visitors had the chance to win a prize by voting on their favorite egg.
